Mobile backup power
Trailer and vehicle-integrated backup power systems at 5 kW to 50 kW for emergency and disaster response.
Mobile backup systems combine the constraints of stationary generation with those of a vehicle: vibration, ingress, wide temperature and a converter that has to survive being moved.
Sealed enclosures
A trailer-mounted system is exposed to rain, road splash and dust in transit. Sealed IP67 converters remove a class of field problems that would otherwise require a shelter on every unit.
Transport and handling
The equipment is handled, not installed. Specify shock and vibration according to transport conditions, not just operating conditions — a converter that passes its operating spec but fails during loading is not much use.
Deployment speed
Emergency response is measured in time-to-power. Any element of the power chain that requires configuration or calibration on site adds directly to that number. Pre-configured converters with defined communication defaults reduce it.
Rental and fleet models
A significant share of mobile backup demand is rental or fleet. If that is your channel, discuss spare unit strategy and failure-replacement terms at contracting stage — it affects pricing more than the component selection does.
Design points for this application
- Sealed IP67 converters suit exposed trailer and vehicle mounting
- Specify transport shock and vibration, not only operating conditions
- Pre-configuration reduces time-to-power in emergency deployment
- Fleet and rental customers need agreed failure-replacement terms
Typical power band: Typical 5 kW – 50 kW
